During the Prohibition era, a tavern known as “Mil Demonios” emerged in Cartagena de Indias, recognized by connoisseurs of the time by its emblem—a wolf’s head named Garibay.
“Mil Demonios” was known for producing a very special liquid, crafted from local sugarcane and distilled using secret techniques perfected by the great laboratories of the era—the convents. This liquid was said to unleash one’s demons so naturally that it became the perfect companion for nights of revelry during the colonial period.

Inspired by colonial festivities and Colombia’s iconic aguardiente, Mil Demonios has perfected the distillation of sugarcane, combining ancient techniques with modern methods and craftsmanship. The result is a truly unique aguardiente with an authentic Colombian legacy.
Mil Demonios revives this once clandestine recipe, drawn from mythical tales of those lustrous nights in colonial Cartagena de Indias, where participants would release their demons only to exorcize them in the light of day.
